It is popsicle time, i have been making many many popsicle recently. I enjoy making them. They are easy to make, moreover very tasty and healthy. I have few more coming on its way.

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Freezing Time : Overnight
Makes : 4 to 6

Ingredients:

Watermelon - 3 cups cubed
Sugar - 1/4 cup or more
Lemon Juice - 1 to 2 tblspn

Method:

Now take all ingredients in a blender and puree.

Pour it into popsicle mould and freeze overnight.

For unmoulding, run it under tap water for few seconds and then unmould.

Pictorial:

cut it open


remove the skin




cube it


take it in a blender


add sugar


add lemon juice


time to blend
nicely pureed



pour it into moulds


pop the lid and freeze
and freeze it

remove from freezer

run over some water

Unmould and serve

This is my favourite recipe for sweetcorn soup which taste like restaurant style soup. It is made using cream style corn and is totally delicious. 



Chicken Clear Soup

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients:

Butter - 1 tblspn
Ginger - 1 tblspn finely chopped finely
Garlic - 1 tblspn finely chopped finely
Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely
Spring Onion White Part - 2 chopped finely
Carrot - 1/2 cup chopped finely
Cabbage - 1/2 cup chopped finely
Capsicum / Bell Pepper - 1/2 cup chopped finely

Beans - 3 chopped finely
Cream Style Sweet Corn - 1 can
Water as needed
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Cornflour / Cornstarch - 2 tsp
Spring Onion Green Part - 2 chopped finely

Method:

Heat butter in a saucepan. Add ginger, garlic, spring onion white, green chillies and  saute for a min.

Add in veggies and saute for 5 to 6 mins.

Add in cream style corn and saute for 5 mins.

Add water, salt, sugar and bring it to a boil. Simmer for 5 to 6 mins.

Add in cornflour slurry which is cornflour mixed with water to thicken the soup.

Now add in spring onion green and mix well.

Serve.

This is my little ones favourite. This has lots of flavours in them and you dont need any sidedish for this, just a bowl of yogurt and pickle is enough. I thought of sharing it with you because many of you have been asking me the recipe when i shared it in my instagram, BTW if you are not following me on instagram, i think you have to follow..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Resting Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 1 min per thepla
Makes: 5 to 6 thepla

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 1.5 cup
Gram Flour / Besan - 2 tblspn
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Fresh Fenugreek Leaves - 1 cup chopped finely (methi)
Spring Onion - 1/4 cup chopped finely
Ajwain / Omam / Carom Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tblspn
Curd / Yogurt - 3 tblspn
Water as needed

Method:

Take all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Slowly add water and make it into a smooth dough.

Cover and let it rest for 15 mins.

Now divide it into equal portions. Roll it out into chapati.

Heat tawa and cook it on both sides, add oil if needed.

Remove and serve.
